  • Spring...

Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL day!! The temp's reached the mid 80's which is a little warm, but it was still beautiful! Dan has off school this week, so he asked that we eat later supper's to give him time to get some work done outside.

He trimmed more shrubs, Tamara cleaned the trimmings up and emptied the wheelbarrow. Danny and I were digging up those nasty thistles that hurt when you step on them! Dan also sprayed for fire ants.

I had to quit on them, and get supper made and get ready to go to Heidi's house for our first Encouragement Night for ladies in their 20's to 30's. We had a good evening with 7 ladies attending...we are going through the Love Dare book and since some of the ladies are not married, seeing how we can apply it to our relationship with other's in the church as well!

When I got home, my wonderful hubby had cleaned up my kitchen sink and started the dishwasher!!   It's nice to have things back to "life like it had been before school" for a week!!
Dan also started some tomato plants....

looking forward to fresh tomato's in a few months.....

Tonight I think Dan is going to get the mower running for me and who knows what all else...but today I want to run to town after school work is done and buy some mulch and get my front flower bed looking good!
Looking forward to seeing my sister and her family this weekend!!

  • I almost envy you, that you are working in flower beds and mulching and mowing yard. But before I know it,it'll be Spring in Pa.and then the work begins!

  • hey, good luck with that love dare book. is anything the same in the book as in the movie?

well, have fun with the weather.. it's 34* right now..

  • I wanted to tell you that I know what it's like to have hubby going to school in the evening as my hubby did that too, for 5 long years when our older boys were youngins.  It was sooo nice when he was done!  Hang in there!  Enjoy your warm weather...we have rain and 32 degrees today, causing some school delays.

  • I am beginning to wonder if Danny ever has a serious moment or you just catch him at the goofiest times.  I love that expression on his face.  You just want to chuckle and tickle him.:)
