  •  Sunday afternoon we sat outside. I noticed our gardenia bush was blooming...the flowers have a very strong scent!

Tamara wondered if she could take a picture, so I let her. She took this one of the "weeds" in my flower bed. They were too pretty to pull out, so I left them go! I probably should pull them out soon before they go to seed, or I could have a problem on my hands!!

This is the reason we were sitting out on the porch...waiting for our company to come!! And here they come...my aunt and uncle, Harvey & Marlene Horst rode down on their motorcycle from PA. They road with another couple and split ways in GA to come visit us and Dwayne's, then were meeting back up with their friends for the rest of their trip!

Monday Dan had off work, so we took Harvey's out and showed them around Blountstown, oh, great town that it is! LOL!! We went by the Pioneer Settlement and they had the gates open. A man was working there and so we stopped and asked if we could walk around a little. He so kindly let us...usually they charge $6 adults for a tour, but since we walked around ourselves, I guess they didn't care?
Dan was calling to this pretty peacock and it would answer back! They are so loud!!

After lunch it seemed like there was going to be a short break in the rain/storms, so they decided it was best to leave then to avoid as much rain as possible!

And there they go again....it was so good to have them here even if for a short stay!! We made some good memories!!

  • That last picture reminds me of all the motorcyclists we saw over the weekend while we were traveling...and every one with a woman on the back also had a trailer like that...which I don't usually see if it's just a man traveling by himself.  I could relate...it seems that we women have a few more "essentials" than guys do.
