The other night Danny made coffee for us....I had to laugh when I saw their Webkinz sitting there watching it brew!!
Friday night was Emily Redmond's graduation.....I was asked to take pictures, so here are just a few...
Emily and her parents....Dan & Nancy.
Guests....
Friends forever....Ally, Emily and Caroline
Cute lil' Landon
Saturday morning I went to a Baby Shower for Sherry Yoder. Only a few more weeks.....
We had a fun relay! You had to hold a baby, be talking on the phone and either hang up or take down wash off the line!
Thanks to Misty for hosting it and to Yolie, Carol and whoever all else planned it! Last night was our first night of VBS. Major props to Scott and Amy, Jeremy, Ally, and Caroline for making up their own theme...it's great!
We are doing an Archeological Theme, where the kids meet a character (beginning skit), learn about his/her character qualities, memorize scripture in the Scriptorium, decipher clues and find artifacts! The kids are divided up into four teams and each team has their own flag...Dan & I are leaders of the yellow team
. The kids carry the flag with them everywhere they go and we must stay together as a team at all times! Last night was about Joseph....Jacob (Dan) was giving Joseph (Samuel) his Coat of many Colors...
Joseph with three of his jealous brothers who were NOT interested in hearing about his dreams.
Obstacle Course.... Bear was in charge of the obstacle course...the kids had to "bat" a football across the "field" with a stick then the next person in line did it....they were timed to see which team did it fastest!
Then they had to walk across the field sideways with a balloon sandwiched between their backs without dropping it. Our team did not win timewise, but they did great, I think!
At the Historical Encounter...where they got to meet the main character and learn more about his life....they had to take notes because they needed to know a few facts he shared later on in the night.
The Scriptorium....they had clues to figure out their memory verse and then they worked at memorizing it for later in the evening....
The clue to decipher from the Scriptorium led them to this room, where Ruth Ann listened to their verse and gave them tickets for the "dig" at the end.
After this, we went outside to the Charater Counts area (no pic) where Dan taught them more about the theme for the night...perseverance. Then at 7:40, everyone met at the "Dig site"...this was a race. Each team had their little dig area and when they found the hidden paper in it, they ran back to the beginning post for the night (the front yard), deciphered the clue, went and searched for the hidden coat of many colors (there were 4 hidden, 1 for each team) and then raced back to the front yard and planted their teams flag in the ground. Congrats to the red team for winning!!
Looking forward to another busy night!!
Tonight we are learning about Gideon and having Faith....

vbs looks so fun! we probably would have been there!
The game played at Sherry's shower--we played that one here for Renae Keller Hege's shower a month ago. First time I had heard of that one! And some others we played! =]
I love the coffee critters!
I carry it in my purse all the time. I had two others that were older versions that did really good too.
I use my little Canon Power Shot A2000 for most of my close up pictures. I wish I could get paid for advertising for them.
