  • We Found a Rosebud!

     This morning the kids and I went and cleaned church. They were such good helpers, so we all went and got lunch at Subway. We came home, ate our lunch and then went to help Scott & Amy pack to move tomorrow!

    Well, when we drove out our road it was starting to rain and storm. Almost at the end of the road there was a CUTE puppy sitting, looking all scared and lonely. As we got closer it ran off to the side of the road. Well, I just couldn't leave it there! I had boxes in the van that we were taking along to Scott's, so we stopped, the puppy came running to me and we took her home!! (in one of the boxes) When we got back home, the kids were having a blast playing with her (they named her Rosebud). She seems to be mild mannered, but we shall see....not sure if we'll actually keep her!??
      They've been spending all afternoon/evening outside with her!

     Congratulations to Josh & Angie Y.!! YAY! They had a little girl, Jasmin Kay just a few hours ago! So happy for them!!
     Have a great July 4th weekend....looks like a fun one!!

  • @loaine - I'm not sure if it's a lab or golden retriever? Or are they the same thing? :)

    @danalewis - We thought about it too that she looked well fed, but since there aren't many neighbors down at that end of the road and she had no collar, we presume someone dropped her off! That seems to happen alot around here!
     Angie's baby was 6 lb. 8 oz.

  • looks like a little guys friend. he is cute, my kids sure would love to have a little dog. But i'm not one for animals. to me they belong on a farm. Hope you can keep him.

  • oh my, how can you not love that puppy face?  And I bet she has that sweet puppy breath.  I'm not a fan of big dogs but she is adorable, Twila!

  • Looking at the pics again,I think she might be a golden retriever,lab's coats are smoother.My sister has a golden and he is such a nice dog.Just lately I rang the doorbell at their place and he came to the door just "smiling" away! When anyone knocked on the door of our house Oliver thought it was his job to scare them away!  A bad habit we were never able to break him of.Good luck with your "new" dog!

  • @floridayankees - They are moving to Bascom....I don't know what that means for piano lessons, because Amy will also be involved at Victory Christian school!

  • no,actually we went on a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale Port and spent one night in Jacksonville on the way home....cute puppy!
