  • Yesterday was our 13th anniversary. We hadn't made any evening plans, so at the last minute, I decided to get a sitter and take Dan out as a surprise! Well, he usually calls me on his way home from work, which gives me 40 minutes till he gets home. So I wasn't in a big hurry to get ready. When I finally decided to get a shower, I heard a knock on the bedroom door and wondered why the kids were bugging me when I just told them I was getting a shower....so I opened the door and there was my hubby with these.......

He got me 13 red roses......
AND gave me the most beautiful tribute to our 13 years of marriage! He wrote it so beautifully it made me cry! I had kind of forgot about the poetic side of Dan! That piece of paper will be forever treasured!!!

He was also planning to surprise me and take me out for supper....great minds think alike, they say! LOL
We chose Ruby Tuesday's and had a wonderful supper!

Pictures just don't do these roses justice....they are SO beautiful. He got them sprayed with glitter and that just doesn't show on the pics!

Happy Anniversary too, to Eric & Yolie!!

  • The roses were even prettier than the pictures?!!! I'm so glad God made beautiful flowers & that you were willing to "share" yours. Ya'll are an inspiration :)   Those baptism pictures were special too. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

  • Happy Anniversary! I love the flowers and I especially love the blouse you're wearing. I think I have about 4 or 5 of that color in different styles.

Molly's family and ours grew up in the same area. My daughter Rose and Molly were best friends for a number of years, until everyone grew up and moved away.
