Last Thursday afternoon a few families from our homeschool group went to Water World in Dothan. They had a special going over the summer. Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5-9 were half price, which was only $15 for the kids and I total!!
And another nice part of going in the evening is that you don't have to worry with sunscreen...
But we did watch those storm clouds and hoped they'd stay away...and they did!!
Entering Alabama....
Arriving at Water World!!
W.W. is a small water park with only 4 different attractions, the kiddie pool, the wave pool, triple water slides and the Great White!!
Not alot of variety, but enough to keep ya busy for a few hours!!Here come Anna G. and Tamara on the slides.....
and here comes Danny....
This was the Great White!!
I still can't believe I went on this ride!!
But only once!! Danny & Dylan (who went twice!) are at the bottom of the pic carrying their two seater tube up the stairs... I went on a one seater. Let me tell you, that is sheer terror when you drop over the edge, but I didn't know cause I sht my eyes!! LOL!And there they go.....
Danny says, "YES!!! That was great"!
This was the wave pool....notice the waves just starting. It would be calm for a little while, then a beeper would go, warning you that the waves were about to begin....they got pretty big!
The wave pool after dark....
Kay & I had both planned to stop at DQ on the way home, unknow to each other, so we enjoyed visiting a little longer...

Friday morning we had some early morning T-storms...this was the one thunderhead. I just love the different clouds we've been seeing this summer!
These clouds looked a little like they were trying to form something that starts with a T!!
They were swirling and stayed real low. Very unique!Sunday we were invited to Eric & Yolie's for Ian's 3rd birthday! I cannot believe he is 3 already!! I so very well remember holding him right after he was born...he was so tiny!
And now there's baby Collin.....
Danny holding him...Ian -the birthday boy

He loved his Lightning McQueen cake!
Blow....
The most fun part....opening the presents!!

Then after that we all went over to see the progress of their new house! They are hoping to move in real soon!!
I'm so excited for them!We are looking forward to having "Aunt Esther" here this weekend...some fun times in store!! Then next weekend our family is going camping...so looking forward to that!!
Ya'll be blessed~

The water park looks like great fun.
looks like the water park was really neat! Hope to go sometime! neat but scary pics of the clouds!!!!
The water park looks very cool and like something my kids would really like...although I would say they would be a little young for that BIG slide. I'm impressed that you tried it! Looks scary, but I'd probably try it at least once too...just for the thrill.
That water park does look fun...you are so brave
