Cookie Bake
Ok, I had to turn off my YouTube video's of Celtic Woman Christmas music so I can concentrate on what to write here! LOL!!
Today was the promised "cookie baking" day! This is a highlight every Christmas! Last evening because we had church, I hadn't got the kitchen all cleaned up, so I told Danny, jokingly, that I was going to get him up at 6:30 to wash dishes and get the kitchen cleaned up. He was like "Ok"!
I said, "I'm just joking", but he was serious. So I woke him up at 7 to help me finish up what I hadn't got done. Then we sat down and had our morning coffee and breakfast together. That was rare but fun! I need to spend more one on one time like that with my kids.
After breakfast we refilled some containers with items I had stocked up on the day before....
...and got everything out and ready to go!!
The table was empty and ready to be filled with baked cookies [and can you believe I forgot to take a picture when it WAS full??]
Some "pumpy" music to listen to!! Mmhmm!!
Tamara joined us about that time {she needs her beauty sleep...or else she might look like a bear!!}
There is that rare exciting occasion that it's okay to wake her early for!
She asked if she could work in her pj's and I said, sure why not? Whatever's comfy on a day like this!!
The kids mixed up mint chocolate chip cookies while I was making waffle cookies...
And they really enjoyed licking the beaters between each batch. Some tasted better than others....
I got this handy little "ice cream" scoop at Target for $1 and thought we'd try it on cookies....it worked for some kinds...seemed perfect for the chocolate chip cookies! The kids loved using it anyway!
They got the job of unwrapping the Hershey Kisses for the PB Blossom cookies.
Waffle cookies
A childhood favorite!
This waffle iron has a little story behind it. It was my Mom's.
I wanted one like hers because I knew how to operate it [from living at home] and I wasn't sure about these newfangled ones. So I searched online and found one or two that were in decent shape yet, on Ebay. The nicest one was $30. I decided to wait and keep looking around instead of quick buying one just because I wanted one! Not long after that [this was in 2007/2008] my sister Chris and I went up to PA to help Mom with their moving yard sale. Lo and behold, Mom had her waffle iron in with her yard sale things!!So I was sure glad I waited!! I think she just let me have it if I remember right! So, waiting paid off and I am enjoying using it!!
I still need to make icing for them and then the kids will decorate them with sprinkles!
This was a new for me recipe....Molasses Sugar Cookies. They are yummy, just got a little to brown!
The usual Chocolate Crinkles....
Pecan Puffs...these were also a new recipe for me. They were okay, but they stayed in the exact shape they got plopped on the pan, and because they didn't spread out, they seem a little doughy!
Let me just stop and insert this little bit of information. Yesterday when grocery shopping, I needed to buy more flour. I saw this White Lily brand of flour that was on sale for $1.39 (?) a bag. So since I was trying to save where I could, I bought it. I now think that was a big mistake! When I poured it from the bag into my Tupperware container it was VERY lumpy!! I thought, no biggy, we'll just have to sift it. Well, I am almost convinced I got a "bad" bag!! Almost ALL the cookies I made today [whether I sifted the flour or not] did not turn out nice like they usually do!!
So I kind of feel like I have a bunch of flop cookies!! If they LOOK nice, they have a flat taste, and then some just look down-right nasty! The only ones that got good were the mint choc. chip and the PB cups.
*sigh*
Mint Chocolate Chip....Mmmmm, now those are good!!
PB Cups {another MMMM}
So there's our stash...
And here are the flops.....
Thumbprint Cookies that don't taste right and got way too flat!
And my poor PB Blossoms. They got so flat, they looked like someone ran over them with a MAC truck! *hefty sigh* They were so flat, I about couldn't even put the kisses on them!
They DO still taste good though.
So I think I am going to try a few more yet....another batch of PB Blossoms, more choc. chip and possibly cut outs.....
If you care to share your recipes for the PB Blossoms or the cut outs, that would be fine by me!
While I was finishing up the cookies, the kids made up their own version of the 12 Day's of Christmas.....very entertaining, to say the least!!
We had a good day and I am happy to be sitting down resting now! My feet and back are not happy with me. I think I may need to go to the Chiropractor or something. I've been having tight muscles in my upper and lower back for weeks and it's about to get the best of me. I can hardly put my head down, it pulls so bad. I think a massage therapist is really what i need to see!!
Dan finished up his school work for this semester and will be having a month break!! WOOHOOO!!!! I am so happy and so is he! He is looking forward to a little "time away by himself" this weekend! Just time to unwind and spend some time with his Father! Then next week, the projects begin...and I am not being a strict taskmaster! These are projects he "wants" to do!
Merry Christmas to all my friends/readers! Hope it's a blessed time for you!

It has been so cold in north Florida this past week! One day, it barely got to 40 and the sky was so dark, it really looked like it should snow. And there was snow about 2 hours north of us!! We actually had a "special weather statement" issued for possible flurries, but it was soon taken away again!
Thursday, December 9, was the GEMS Christmas Banquet. This year we ate at Uforia, a Chinese buffet in Tallahassee.
Sushi....Mmmm!! Now that green stuff on my plate....I didn't know what it was, but it reminded me of a dry looking guacamole, so I decided to try some. Oh, clueless one!!
Let's just say, my mouth was on FIRE!!! And now I know what that green stuff is!
Since we were already in Tallahassee and we wanted to go to Thomasville the next night for the Annual Victorian Christmas, the kids and I spent the night with my sis in GA. Her husband was gone for the week so this seemed like a good opportunity to hang out again.
I didn't venture out in the cold morning, but Danny helped her feed the calves in the morning after the kids went to school [they had a half day]
I DID go out for the afternoon feeding. Just wanted to see how its done!
Calves are stubborn critters....I guess just like humans!
This one kept jumping out of his hutch, so he had to be tied fast so he wouldn't wander away.
My niece Heidi was trying to get this calf to drink...
Chris baked some bread while we were there...it made the whole house smell yummy!! And it tasted SO good!!
So then in the evening we all went to the Victorian Christmas.
TH cooking the chicken...
Tamara wanted a roasted corn on the cob instead of a pita....although she ended up sharing some of mine!
The balls of light in all the trees lining the street were so pretty!!
An organ grinder on one street corner.
They had these fire pits scattered along the streets for people to warm up. It was one of those cold nights!! They also had some tall heaters that deflected the heat downward that you could stand under. Very nice!!
Meigs Menn. Church had a baked sale...till we left, the tables were nearly empty! A couple people stopped us to find out where the bake sale was...I guess they thought we should know!
I remember this guy from other years. I think I have a picture of him from last year, too. He is a jolly man and his music is beautiful! He had just ended a song when we stopped to listen, so he asked Danny if he had a request then played Silent Night for us!
Enjoyed hearing this Scottish group....
These two guys were playing instruments by squeezing the bellows under their arms, instead of blowing.
Meigs Youth had a Bloomin' Onion stand.
Mr. Hunsberger was cutting the onions and then he would pass them on to be dipped in batter....
Then Mr. Sauder would fry them.
Train rides~
Ballet~
Live mannequins~
Lively manneqins~
Beautiful storefronts~
And that is a small taste of Thomasville's Victorian Christmas!!

Saturday the kids did a good job of helping me get cleaning done. As a reward I took them to see the new Narnia movie "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" at the newly remodeled theater in Marianna. It is sooo nice compared to what it used to be. I think we could safely say it no longer needs to be called the "Roach Theater"!! No more sticky floors and creaky chairs....these new seats are comfy with nice arms and drink holders, not that we needed them!
Who buys popcorn at the theater??
I would go broke....it would have cost almost $5 a person more for popcorn!! Wish we could just bring our own!! Oh well!
Dan didn't go with us to see the movie. He had school work to finish up [LOTS of reading] and a sermon to prepare for Sunday. He spent most of his day studying on the front porch. Saturday was the warmest day we've had in a long time which made it nice to be outdoors.
I am so happy that Dan only has this week of school left and then gets a month break! We all need that!! Just hope we can get some projects crossed off the To-Do list in that month!!
But some time of relaxing will also be a must!
We don't have any plans for Christmas this year. Just staying home and enjoying our family!! Sounds good to me!Not that I wouldn't LOVE to be taking a trip north! But that will happen someday~
Have a blessed week!!

Danny's Birthday Party
Last Sunday Danny had some friends over for the afternoon to celebrate his birthday.
Our lunch consisted of Tater Tot casserole (special request by Danny), green beans, rolls, and cake and ice cream.
Friends from left: Jacob Weaver, Danny, Austin Nissley, Tamara, Dylan Pickron and Luke WeaverDanny wanted a jello cake instead of the normal store bought one. Usually we eat Cool Whip on jello cakes, so I wasn't sure how it would be to decorate it with icing. It didn't taste too bad. *Yeh, I'm no professional cake decorator!!
12 years old~
After lunch they took the green machine out on the road and had a blast....
Dylan doing a donut...
Even the big man took a turn...
Then they came in and Danny opened the gift from Austin....a fleece blanket in his favorite color~ Camo!
Luke gave him $10.
I made a treasure hunt for them...they started out in the living room....then out to the mailbox...
Inside the cedar chest....
out to the wash line..... (I had clipped enough papers on the line with clothespins, for them all to get one....only one lucky one knew where to go next [but he told the others])
the bathroom mirror....
after more running [and making Dan and I pant and puff to keep after] they ended up in the kitchen with bags of candy.
They needed a calmer activity after that....a game of Apples to Apples seemed to work!
Then, per Danny's request, they played the cookie challenge. They each had a cookie placed on their forehead and had to work it to their mouth. If it felloff, you had to start over.
It was harder than it appeared when we saw someone else try it!!
Got it on my eye, now if only.....
Almost there......
Man, this is giving my face muscles a workout!
Dylan's cookie went rolling away....
Tamara ended up being the first to get her cookie in her mouth!
Dylan had to leave early to go to Nutcracker practice, so we took one more pic of them all....for the memory book!
The 4 boys on the left are all within 5 months of each other in age. Danny started the "turning 12" trend....with the others close behind. Jacob and Tamara are 9.
So thankful for the good friends my children have at this stage in their lives!! Another birthday down....there's no stopping them!! They are growing up so fast!

Saturday
Saturday was Blountstown's Annual Christmas on the Square. Vendors can set up booth's to sell crafts, food and other new items. I set up a stand with my Tupperware stock. Was able to sell a few items! I was right next to the "entertainment stage" this year!
Some was good, some not so good...but this group was GOOD!!! Can you imagine that many people in your church being able to play drums and play them well!?? The guy in the front on the right was their leader. He was funny!
They had these CUTE little ones up on the stage. Most of them weren't keeping rhythm, but it still let them feel like they were a part of the show!
I got smoked out and blown away till the day was over. Some guys set up next to me with a smoker. They were making ribs and chicken. While it all smelled so yummy, the smoke got to be too much! Then a huge gust of wind lifted my tent up and knocked a bunch of stuff over. I decided that was my cue to shut it down!
Dan and the kids were there to bring me lunch and were a huge help in getting things packed up.
After I got home, I tried to finish up a few things that needed to be done yet before Sunday. My back was so tight, so I laid on the floor for Dan to give me a back rub...it felt so good and I fell asleep for a few minutes!
It didn't really revive my energy though....I was really behind on sleep and I knew this was going to be another late night!
At 4:30 we met others from our homeschool group on the town square to watch the Christmas Parade.
Anna sharing her cotton candy with Tamara.....
Sam enjoyed his cotton candy to the fullest!!
He had himself a blue goatee!
Just a few shots of the parade....
Mr. Smith playing the drums~
The famous Christmas bus driven by our local Realtor, Danny Ryals.
After the parade our family and Rachel and Hannah Smith went to the Pioneer Village. Rachel and Hannah were helping serve food and we joined others from our church to sing Christmas carols on the porch of one of the old homes.
This is a newly renovated building that used to be beside the High School in town. This was the first time it was opened to the public!
Loved the fireplace!!Loved the bag lights they had along the walk outside....I'd like some of those at my house!!
Red Oak carolers....
Hannah serving up some hot soup!
Rachel and her friend Karah and Miss Lawanna served hot cider! Mmmm!!
After leaving the Settlement, we went to join our homeschool group again at Roy & Kay Pickron's home. After eating supper, the ladies cleaned up the kitchen.
Patty wasn't smiling for the first picture, so we had to try again!
The girls played with Polly Pockets for awhile....
Some hung out around the campfire....
And some were acting out a battle.....I almost stumbled across this wounded soldier in the dark!
This was their headquarters, I think!
After families started leaving, making it harder for them to continue their "play", the kids moved inside and broke out Apples to Apples.
And then played some Band Hero.....
Katherine singing pretty.....
We brought Dylan along home overnight and then Sunday a few other of Danny's friends joined us after church for an afternoon birthday party.
We had a good Saturday, full but good!
Will have another post soon of the Sunday b-day party....

Birthday Boy...and Our Day
Friday was Danny's 12th birthday! As is tradition, we take a break from school on birthdays, so we spent the day doing other things. Danny wanted to have a birthday party this year and it was only going to work for Sunday, so we did some cleaning in the morning and also got some things ready for me to set up a Tupperware stand at our town's Christmas on the Square on Saturday. Also, Friday was our monthly park day with our homeschool group. I wasn't sure if we would go since Danny was getting over a cold and it had been cold and windy the day before. We decided to go out for lunch and treat everyone with cupcakes! AND I FORGOT MY CAMERA!!!
We had a big crew again and the kids had lots of fun! Turned out to be a warmer day.
Dan came home from work a little early and we went to Panama City for Danny's b-day supper. He wanted to eat at Chick-fil-A and since we planned to take them to see "Despicable Me" in the dollar theater in the mall, we also ate in there.
The birthday boy with his favorite sister!!
Before we left, Danny got to open his birthday gift....he waited all day to see what might be in this box!
He was excited to see it was a "Green Machine" like he saw and "circled" in the ToysR Us catalog (after I had already bought and hid it!)
He loved the Hoops and YoYo card, too!
We also gave him some $$ to buy a BB pistol he has been wanting.
After eating supper in the mall, we had some time to goof off till movie time. We came across this water ball display and decided to treat the kids to a little more fun.
Inside the ball while they were filling it with air.
Tamara had to hold her ears shut!
And there she goes....
They had SO much fun, it was worth the $$ we spent! It was so hard for them to stand up. Danny ended up doing flips and spinning himself that way!
Tamara standing....for a very short time!
We went in to Payless. Tamara needs church shoes and Danny needs sneakers. Man, right now our kids feet are growing so fast. Tamara is wearing a 6 sneaker, but we had to go to size 8 dress shoes!!
She wanted to try on some heels!
She was quite wobbly!
We did not find any shoes for either of them. There wasn't a good selection and what they had were $25-$40 shoes. I can't spend that much when they outgrow them so fast, even with a 20% off coupon!!
So we keep looking. We really need to find something for Tamara soon. It is too cold to wear sandals to church anymore!

The children could hardly wait to decorate for Christmas! So, on Monday after Thanksgiving, after their school work was all done, we went out to the garage and brought in the totes of decor. They mostly were looking forward to setting up the tree! This year they decided they wanted to put the topper on TOGETHER!
Then they filled it all up!
Danny's homemade tree ornament made from pipe cleaners!
There it is! We pretty much only put decorations up in the living room this year. Oh, and they each have their own small tree in their rooms that they got to decorate.
Looking forward to a fun month....

Odds N Ends
Last weekend we heard there was supposed to be a great meteor shower one night. The moon was so bright that night, but the guys still saw a "shooting star" on the way home from church! So the kids and I decided to get up at 4 AM the next morning to watch for more. (See, we get up early for more than just Black Friday shopping!
) We saw 7 meteors in the 15 minutes we were outside! It was a cold morning and we didn't last longer than all that!! But it brought back memories of my childhood. Dad would lay down large sheets of plastic to protect us from dew and the WHOLE family would take our sleeping bags out and watch the meteor showers. [This usually took place in August] Then we would all sleep outside, too...well, some would end up on sofa's in the living room till morning!
But it was great fun!!
**************************************************************************************************************
I randomly find pictures like this on my camera when I download the pics!!
Wednesday, well all week really, I was getting the house ready for Thanksgiving company. But Wed. I was trying to finish up grocery shopping and cleaning and making food. Dan called me his way home from work and said we should meet him in town at El Jalisco's for supper! The next day was the 15th anniversary of our engagement and we knew that with company coming, we probably wouldn't have time to celebrate. So we enjoyed a family supper out!
They had the train in town all decorated with lights for the holidays!!
I love the lights this time of year!!
Wed. night I made 2 shoofly pies [which ended up being too gooey!
]
And put the roast in the crock pot! Yeh, I didn't do turkey for thanksgiving!!
Also mixed up some Chex party mix for snacking! Mmmm!
We got the sad news Thanksgiving Day morning that our dear friend Phebe Martin had passed away during the early morning hours. I feel so sad for her husband and children, but on the other hand I had to smile when I thought of her lupus-ridden body free and could just see her dancing with her Saviour!!! She will be missed. It really doesn't seem real to me since we don't live up in PA anymore. I will remember Phebe....she was one of my favorite SS teachers at Womelsdorf, a dear friend who I got to spend time babysitting with while Good News went into the prisons at the crusades, she opened her home to us many times for meals, took time to encourage me when the children were little and just an all around kind woman!! Dear Cleason, our hearts ache with yours over the loss of your wonderful wife!
{Cleason is the "patriarch" of Good News...the group Dan used to sing with.} Please keep him in your prayers, especially tomorrow, the day of the funeral!
Thursday noon Dan's parents, 2 handicapped guys they keep and Dan's uncle arrived. Oh, yeh, and Sparky!!
Pop found a comfy pillow while watching football!
Friday morning Dan and I got up at 4 and did some Black Friday shopping! I was convinced after last year that I would never do that again, but we had a really good day!! Of course ending it with Starbucks is always a plus!!
I love shopping with my husband, but it's not as fun if you know you don't have much $$ to spend!
Wish I had taken more pics this weekend! *sigh* Got some video though! *smile*
Grandma and Tamara and Danny made pizza for supper Saturday night!
Tamara mixed up the dough....Danny and Grandma spread it on the pans and then we all fixed the toppings!
I am looking forward to this week! We are going to work at decorating for Christmas and I need to get my Tupperware ready to have a stand at the Farmer's Market on Saturday!! It is also the Prison Crusade and Danny will be celebrating his 12th birthday....so it'll be a FULL week once again!
Blessings to you....

Field Trip....Fall Festival
For our November field trip, we took a trip to the Ocheessee Creamery and Dairy Farm owned by Paul & Marilu Wesselhoeft, followed by a Fall Festival at the home of David & Robin Yoder!
It was a fun, full day.
I thought it was kind of neat that I caught this cow with his tongue on his nose......
....but they must all do that!!
This one was brave enough to let Danny touch his nose.
The cows were feeding when we got there, then as they were finishing up, Marilu turned on the wave of water to clean out the feeding area. I had never seen a set up like that before, but it sure helped to keep the area clean!! (forgive me for not knowing all the technical names for this stuff!!
)
Then the cows walked (more like shoved each other along) over to the milking parlor.....
They weren't so sure about all these people watching them....
(see the sprinklers in the floor? After all the cows were in, they got sprayed off to keep from bringing all their filth into the milking parlor!)
Coming to investigate!
Mooo!! I see you!!
We had a LARGE group that day!! I think this was the biggest field trip ever! (Over 50 people!)
In the milking parlor....
Ready to be dipped and milked...
Marilu dipping the cows and answering questions!
Milking the "old-fashioned" way.
A few stayed after the kids left to ask more questions...
From the milking parlor, we went outside to the calves...
Samuel got the biggest kick out of the calves sucking on his fingers and this one really seemed to like him!
Feeding time....
After watching the calves being fed, we went to the creamery.
Kirsten, Dylan and Danny waiting on the porch...
A treat of chocolate milk and cookies!! Mmmmm!! One of the kids said it tasted like melted choc. ice cream and it did!! So good!!
Lining up to be separated into groups to go into the creamery...this was ages 11 and up! We used to not have hardly anyone older than 11! Looked what happened!!
We ended up making it 13 and up and that took out quite a few kids!
Our fine group of 10-12 year olds!!
(In another month Tamara could have joined them!)
I was assigned as a chaperone to this group. Here we are hearing all about the process of pasteurizing the milk...and making butter!
The results....Mmmm!!
If you live locally, give Ocheesee your business! Their milk is much better for you than store bought!!
And their butter and cheese...MMMMM!
My sweet friend Denise sporting some roses!!
One lady who is sure to bring a smile to your face!!
So from the farm, we went a few miles to David and Robin's house....us Mom's signed up for booth's or games for the kids. I took jars of candy for them to guess. Whoever got the closest won that jar! It was so fun to see people's responses!
Caden takes a turn ringing the star peg!
Denise did face painting....
Taylor makes a guess and hopes for the jar of candy corn!
Some of the ladies who didn't have stands set up the lunch tables.
Over-Under relay race...
Kayla P. had a fishing game. The kids would throw their line over and she would attach a bag of goodies OR a wad of paper!
She was well protected!!
Then it was LUNCH TIME!!!
David grilled hot dogs and we had soup, chips, salads and cookies!
Patty did hair wraps or braids....Anna came well prepared!
Guess who? These came in the gift bags from Kayla's fishing game. The kids had fun with them!!
Tamara gets a braid....
Then David took us all on a hay ride!!
He took us back through the fields.....
Back to the horses.....
and the cows....
and back on the road!
He kept a close eye on us to make sure no one fell off!
Arriving back at their house....
Fun on the trampoline!
Then it was time for horse rides...
And more games....
more painting....
and more and more horse rides!!
Nathan couldn't wait till I figured out who the winners were for the candy jars....and his Mom won TWO of them!!!
He was quite pleased!!
Tamara loved this part of the day the best!!
Although we didn't come dressed for it!
What a beautiful, fun day we had!! Thanks to all my homeschool mom friends and their kids for making this a memorable day for us all!! Especially thanks to David & Robin for opening their home for us!! This will definitely be a favorite memory of the school year!

Gifts....
Today I had a lovely gift waiting at church for me from my secret sister. I wish I had taken a picture before I "un-did" everything. I tried to put it back together, but it doesn't look nearly as cute.
I have a VERY creative SS!!
Tucked neatly in the basket was a set of 4 pumpkin shaped coffee cups, a pack of disposable travel mugs (which will be VERY handy!!), a Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie mix (Mmmmm!!) and a few decorative Fall trinkets.
Also, wrapped separately was a cute fall rug that found a spot in front of my stove!!
It's nice to have something other than cold floor to stand on while cooking!! I'm not sure about my ability to keep from spilling stuff on it though!!
Tonight I used on of my new cups!!
Coffee with pumpkin spice creamer, whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice sprinkled on top! Mmmm!!
I also received another sort of "gift" today. It was Dan's Sunday to preach today.
Well, this has been an especially busy week for him. He worked a 12 hour day on Monday, which pretty much means an evening of studying is shot. He was finishing up one of his classes for this semester this week, and also is taking another class which required lots of reading. I don't know what reading does to you when you are tired, but I know it puts my poor hubby to sleep!! Wed. night was church, so another evening of not much school work. Thurs. evening he couldn't stay awake, so he took a short nap, and then stayed up till 12:30 doing school work! Saturday was the auction and we left the house at 5:30 AM. I drove to and from to give him more time to read. We didn't stick around real long, because he still needed to finish the reading and take a test that night yet.
On top of all that, he had a sermon to prepare for today!!
He got up early this morning to put the finishing touches on it and even had time for a short nap before we left for church!
I will often ask him what he is preaching on, or will see bits of it since he uses Power Point sermons and usually asks my opinion about backgrounds, etc. Well, this morning I was in for a total surprise! I hadn't seen a stitch of what he was preparing!!
Dan has been a huge contributor to my spiritual growth and today was no exception!!
His sermon was titled, "Waiting On God:What Psalms Says About Waiting" This was a sermon I so needed!! I have been struggling with some issues that I wish I had answers for NOW and wondering about some things in our future. There are many times I don't want to WAIT. I want answers NOW! But I have been trying to rest in God and wait for the plans he has for our family and for me personally, to unfold in His time, not mine!!Here are just a few of the highlights of the sermon that spoke to me....
*Psalm 62 speaks of waiting....quietly. Waiting on God has the quality of rest, silence in my soul.
*Psalm 69:3 ~I am exhausted from crying for help; my throat is parched. My eyes are swollen with weeping, waiting for my God to help me. NLT
I was encouraged to hear that David also went through times like this!! Someday's I feel like I just cannot learn these lessons that God is trying to teach me. I keep failing. I feel like I will never get the hang of trusting and resting in my Creator!! But in Matthew 7:7, we are encouraged to "Keep asking, keep searching, keep knocking"! So I think know God knows we won't always "get it" the 1st time!Another set of verses he read that encouraged me was Psalm 130:3-4 ~ Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you. NLT
He tied the message up with the entire chapter of Psalm 145, the response of someone (David) who waited successfully. My desire this week is to have a taste of waiting successfully!! Pray for me as I strive to rest in God and his plan for my (our) lives. And pray that we can get caught up on sleep!!
I will leave you with the verse Dan shared in closing!! A verse I am going to print and hang somewhere where I can see it EVERY day this week!!
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Have a blessed week~
