School Project
This year in Science/History we are studying Countries and Cultures. Right now we are studying about the good ole US of A. So yesterday in our book "Trip Around the World", we were supposed to choose one recipe of "American" food to make. Out of the 4 options, Danny & Tamara both wanted to try the New England Pumpkin Cake.
Here are the results.....
We ate it last evening with ice cream...it was very, very yummy!!
One of the moistest cakes I've ever had!!
So if you want to try it, here's the recipe:
New England Pumpkin Cake
Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix
2/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. ground cloves (I didn't have any on hand, so we skipped this)
1 16oz. can pumpkin
1/4 cup waterDirections:
Combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs and stir them into mixture. Add water and oil. Beat on low speed until well blended. Add the pumpkin. Blend on low speed until smooth. Pour into a greased bundt pan and bake at 350* for one hour.
