  • Living Rooms

I know this has been posted around, but in case you haven't seen it....and like to see what other people's houses look like, check out Jenny's site.....What fun!!

Click HERE to check out her first post

And HERE  for the second post.....

Here is an excerpt from her page:

Well, I had this idea, because every time a blogger posted a picture of their living room on the web somewhere– it always made me feel like I knew them a little better, like I`d love to sit there and soak up their peaceful space.  I started brain-storming about how FUN it would be to gather them all up, and enjoy them together.

I thought it would also be REALLY fun to have each woman share what food she would share with you (imagine) if she were to serve you refreshments. Plus, if you are like me, you can always use new ideas of what to serve friends when hosting.

    So!

I`d love to have a picture of Y.O.U.R living room. I`d love for YOU to share it with us. No matter how humble or how grand. THIS IS NOT A FASHION SHOW. It`s not.

I want to capture the aura of you as a woman, not a show-off session.

So go check it out and send a pic of YOUR living room. It's great fun!!

  • Blog Backgrounds Etc.....

I am trying to rework my own Xanga background.....but I have a few questions. What program do you use to make your own headers?? Is there a website to get cute headers? What if I want to use my own pictures in the headers??
How do you find an images URL if it's an image off the web...is that legal??

     I'd appreciate any help!!

  • Today it's 14 years since we said "I do"!! And it's been a wonderful 14!! I know the next 14 will be even better!!

Dan worked a late night yesterday for his boss, so because of that, he gets to come home by Noon today! We have a GEMS meeting tonight in Tallahassee, so we are going to head out a little early, do some necessary shopping and then eat supper out....with a FREE gift card to boot! You can't beat that!
Thanks to our neighbor, Emma, for agreeing to keep the kids! They will be going to VBS at our church with her!

To see more about our wedding memories go to my blog:  http://danandtwilahenry.blogspot.com

So last night was the first night of VBS at church. We are using the Answers in Genesis curriculum again and our theme is Operation Space. I think it went well for the first night! There are quite a few other churches in the area having VBS the same week as we are, so I think our attendance was a little lower than normal. I am helping Jeremy Redmond teach ages 7-9 and we had 14 kids last night! They were a fun bunch and Jeremy is great to work with!

    Just a few pics....
Setting up yesterday morning...Carol made all these planets (and stars not yet put up) and I helped her hang them up.

    Finished with that project....

    Toby

Watching it rain....a shower popped up real quick like and it was blowing so hard it looked like a hurricane out there!!

Heidi and her "famous" chocolate warmer....dipping pretzels for snack time!

All the kids gathering on the carport....almost time to start...

    Mr. Rocky welcoming everyone!

    Snack time for our class!

    Wrap-up drama....the robot!

Bummer we will be missing tonight, but I can't wait for some time away with my man!!

  • Two weeks ago I babysat for my friend Jill. The children had lots of fun pretending to be pirates!!

Danny, Hope Divine, Hannah Grace and Tamara

Walking with the romper-stompers.....does anyone else remember having these as a kid?? We used to love playing with them!!

They had a lot of fun playing, but then had some quiet time drawing.

    Today:
The first Friday of the month, our homeschool group has Park Day. During the summer months, our Park Days are held at Camel Lake, swimming. Well, today there was a 70% chance of rain and t-storms, so we decided to skip the lake and just have gym day at a local church.
(Turns out we didn't get a drop of rain till about 9:30 tonight!! Go figure...the last few days the chance of rain was lower and we got showers and t-storms each day! LOL! Oh well!!)

The "older" kids played a game of Apples to Apples....

These guys spent the first little while just talking. Later they played 4 Square.....

    ....and air hockey.

Fish was on the menu for supper tonight! Dan usually grills it, but he had a bad headache this afternoon, so I did some research online to find a recipe for breaded fish. Since I am only learning to like fish, I have only cooked it like once in my life....Dan does a great job of it, so it is left to him. It actually turned out quite good breaded and cooked in the oven!!
The catfish was so soft it practically fell off the bones and the other fish was filleted, so it was easy to bread. We have a lot left over for another time!! And I didn't even cook the flounder yet!!

Tonight I finished mowing the yard and then did some string trimming too. I was trimming along the fence between our house and the shop and all of a sudden I got sprayed in the face. I yelled and turned to see who was spraying me, when I realized I had walked into the path of the sprinkler!! I just hope the guys working at the shop didn't see! Haha!! It was rather embarrassing yelling at a lifeless object!
My sweet children and hubby cleaned up the dishes for me while I was working outside.

Tomorrow morning I hope to go to a few yard sales then I must get my cleaning done and make food for supper. We are having a few guests over!

  • ~Easter Picture~

The kids and I went to our Sunrise service without their Dad! He was at home in bed, sick!!  Not cool!! We did have a blessed service though and a scrumptious brunch of breakfast casserole, grits, fruit and cinnamon rolls.

    Our kids~ Danny (11) and Tamara (9)

It's good you can't tell to much how tight Danny's suit is. I forgot how long ago it's been since we bought it for him (16 months), or I would have known it was a bad idea to wear it! LOL!! His white shirt underneath was too small too! The boy needs new dress clothes in a BAD way!!

Hope you were blessed during this Easter season! So glad He is RISEN!!
